While there’s a smaller amount of paint and bodywork on a motorbike compared to a car, they are just as prone to damage such as rust, dents and dings. We get all sorts of makes and model of bike in our garage at White’s Bodyworks, from the very new to the very old.

This Yamaha RD 250 had seen some action over the years and required a detailed restoration to the main bodywork. That includes stripping down areas like the tanks, repairing damage and respraying in the original colours and design.
It’s something that we excel at in White’s Bodyworks in West Sussex and we have a proud record of bringing classic bikes back to pristine condition.

More About the Yamaha RD 250

Motorcycle manufacture for Yamaha started in the 1950s and they’ve produced some memorable bikes over the years. In the 1970s, they came out with the RD 250, a substantial and quite powerful bike with plenty of character.

RD, if you didn’t know, stood for race developed which may account for why it was a popular bike at the time. Lightweight and manoeuvrable, it was great for taking corners on country lanes. Riders often customised their rides, improving the specs, something which can make a full motorbike restoration quite personal.

Another great British car, the Armstrong Siddeley is a relatively rare sight on UK roads today. As with many classic cars, it’s the bodywork that can often take the brunt of time and ageing. Dents and dings may hide rust or more seriously damaged panels and repairing these is a major undertaking.

Most classic car owners won’t hand their pride and joy over to a garage or mechanic who doesn’t know what they are doing. Over several decades, White’s Bodyworks have garnered a strong reputation for delivering the quality work that classic car owners are looking for.

More About the Armstrong Siddeley

Armstrong Siddeley was established in 1919 and focused on luxury cars as well as aircraft engines. Later, it merged with Hawker Aviation and Bristo Aero Engines until the 1960s when car manufacture effectively ceased altogether.
The first cars produced by the company appeared in 1922 and they were specifically designed for the high end of the market. Long before motoring became the property of the masses, the Armstrong Siddeley was aimed at the well to do.
