There are few more iconic vehicles than the US Chevy truck. It’s synonymous with country life out in the States but not a car you often see on the road in the UK. When this 1952 Chevy truck came to our workshop in West Sussex, the team at White’s Bodyworks were keen to get to going.
Over the last couple of decades, White’s has gained a strong reputation for providing quality renovations, restorations and repairs for vintage cars, trucks and motorcycles of all types. We not only get classic enthusiasts coming to us from various locations around West Sussex and the Home Counties but across the UK.
Each vintage vehicle comes with its own challenges and making sure the right techniques are used is important for many classic car owners.
More About the 1952 Chevy
Even if you don’t know the name, the Chevy truck is an easily recognisable vehicle. It’s been in literally hundreds of films and was once the most popular utility truck in the world. From the distinctive grill to the sizeable truck bed, there’s a weightiness to this vehicle that immediately makes you think of America.
The 1952 model was the first major redesign for the Chevy following the Second World War. The fact that many of these trucks are still on the road nearly seventy years later is a testimony to their great design and iconic status.
How White’s Bodyworks Helped
When we work on any classic car at White’s Bodyworks, it’s important to make sure that we keep the owner well informed about what we are doing. Many owners quite rightly take a lot of pride in their vintage vehicles and they won’t hand them over to just any garage.
At White’s, we have the best facilities on site including a dedicated respray unit to ensure that we can always offer exactly what our customers need. Apart from a great deal of knowledge and expertise, we also bring a lot of passion for vintage vehicles to the table.
If you have a classic car or motorbike, contact the team at White’s Bodyworks on 01273 933633 to find out how we can help.
